Bill Moyers

Jean Bergeron

Jean Bergeron is Managing Partner of Morneau Shepell’s Asset Management practice in Montréal and has over 25 years of experience in the industry. In addition to the responsibility of the Asset Management Consulting Services in Montreal, Jean is also Morneau Shepell’s National Specialist in Asset Management Consulting. He advises employers on all aspect of asset and liability management for pension funds including asset and liability stochastic projections, investment policy review, asset allocation, investment performance, selection of fund managers and custodians, governance and risk studies. Jean graduated from the Université de Montréal with a Bachelor of Science degree in Mathematics. He is a Fellow of both the Society of Actuaries and the Canadian Institute of Actuaries. Jean is also a CFA charterholder and is a member of the Association des Analystes Financiers de Montréal. Jean frequently speaks at conferences and has written numerous articles on asset management.

Mark Bhattacharya

Mark joined MS ARM Ltd. in January 2015 as Head of Operations and Chief Compliance Officer. Prior to joining MS ARM Ltd., Mark brings 20 years of work experience, most recently as CCO of Burgundy Asset Management Ltd. Additionally Mark has served as Head of Compliance and Operational Risk for UBS Global Asset Management Ltd.’ Fund Services Business and as a Compliance Examiner with the Ontario Securities Commission. Mark serves on a volunteer basis as Treasurer and member of the Board of Directors for St. Leonard’s Place of Peel. Mark began his career at PwC working in the Audit practice in Mississauga and the Cayman Islands and qualified as a Chartered Accountant in 1999. Mark received a Bachelor of Commerce, Management Economics and Finance degree from the University of Guelph in 1995.

Robert Boston

Rob Boston is a Partner and Practice Leader for the Investment Consulting group for Ontario and Western Canada. Rob has over 20 years of investment consulting experience. He has also served as Chief Compliance Officer for Morneau Shepell Asset & Risk Management Ltd. and is the Lead Portfolio Manager.  Rob has authored numerous articles on various areas in investment finance for industry publications and a popular speaker.  Rob holds an Honours BA from McMaster University.

Irteza Cheema

Irteza Cheema is a Senior Investment Analyst with Morneau Shepell Asset and Risk Management Ltd. (‘MS ARM’). He has more than 5 years of experience working with MS ARM and its parent company Morneau Shepell Ltd. At MS ARM, Irteza supports investment manager research, asset allocation, investment strategy assessment, performance reporting, client reporting, as well as other operational initiatives. Irteza also conducts research on economic trends and the market outlook for MS ARM’s outcome oriented investment solutions. Prior to joining MS ARM, Irteza was part of Canada’s largest defined benefit pension administration outsourcing business supporting initiatives including new client implementation and client service. Irteza graduated from the University of Western Ontario with a BA Finance degree and is currently a CFA candidate.

Irfan Hassan

Irfan Hassan is a Manager Research Associate with Morneau Shepell Asset and Risk Management Ltd. (‘MS ARM’). Prior to joining MS ARM, he was an Investment Consultant for a large global HR advisory consulting firm in their Toronto office. He has nine years of investment industry experience. Irfan specializes in investment manager research in a variety of asset classes including equities, fixed income and real assets and has responsibilities for assessing investment strategies for inclusion in MS ARM’s outcome oriented investment solutions. Irfan also has experience consulting to a broad range of Canadian institutions - large and small, defined benefit , defined contribution and endowments & foundations - assisting them in all aspects of their investments including creating investment policies, strategic setting of investment and risk objectives, manager structure, selecting & monitoring investment managers and DC administration service providers. Irfan graduated from the University of Waterloo with an Honours B.Math degree

Ramy Rayes

Ramy is a Principal in Morneau Shepell’s Montréal office and is a member of the Asset and Risk Management Consulting practice. He joined Morneau Shepell in 2008 after three years of monitoring the Pension Plans of a Canadian Bank. Ramy has always worked in the pension field and has acquired considerable expertise in the analysis of both assets and liabilities for pension plans. He is mostly involved in asset and liability modeling, establishment and review of investment policies, managers' research and performance evaluation. Ramy frequently speaks at conferences, has written numerous articles on asset and risk management and is working with the Canal Argent on issues related to institutional investments. Ramy has a Bachelor of Science degree in Mathematics from the University of Montréal and is a Financial Risk Manager (FRM) from the Global Association of Risk Professionals (GARP). He is also an Associate of the Society of Actuaries (ASA) and the Canadian Institute of Actuaries (AICA).

Marcus Turner

Mr. Marcus Turner is an Investment Principal with Morneau Shepell. He has over 20 years of investment management and consulting experience and consults on a wide variety of issues including asset allocation strategy, manager structure issues such as currency management, and the use of alternative investments. Prior to consulting, Marcus worked for more than 12 years in the Financial Risk and Capital Markets group of a large financial institution where he was responsible for building the institution’s proprietary trading desk. Marcus specializes in alternative asset class research and has responsibility for assessing currency, infrastructure and private equity managers as well as trends and developments in these asset opportunities. Marcus graduated from the University of Toronto majoring in Economics and Actuarial Science. He is a CFA Charterholder and a member of the Global Association of Risk Professionals. Marcus is currently the Chair of Programming Committee on Toronto CFA Board.
